John M. Bradley, 51, of Cape Girardeau was arrested at 1:07 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, in the 2900 block of North Westwood Boulevard on suspicion of resisting or interfering with an arrest, a Dunklin County warrant for probation violation and five Butler County warrants, one for parole violation and four for failure to appear. He was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center and then to the Butler County jail.

Marcus T. Mead, 38, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 3:00 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, in the 300 block of West Harper on a Wayne County failure to appear warrant and three Butler County failure to appear warrants. He was transported to the Butler County jail.

Lucas K. Warren, 29, of Puxico, was arrested at 2:06 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, on Thomas Street on a Cape Girardeau warrant for forgery and a Butler County failure to appear warrant. He was transported to the Butler County jail.

Daniel A. Declue, 41, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:08 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, on Seventh Street on a Wayne County warrant for fraud. He was transported to the Butler County jail.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded at 12:27 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, to 807 Lester St., which was an unoccupied home, for a reported structure fire. Upon their arrival, the second story was fully involved. They used 5,000 gallons of water to put the fire out, then checked for hot spots with a thermal imaging camera and set up a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke. Municipal Utilities, Spire Gas and the State Fire Marshal were called. At 8:46 a.m., firefighters returned to the residence after the fire rekindled, and they used 50 gallons of water to put it out.

Firefighters responded at 9:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, to 510 Karen Drive, where a gas odor was reported. They found nothing, but called Spire Gas to the scene. Spire employees found a small gas leak in a fitting in the furnace room and locked out the furnace before firefighters notified housing maintenance.

Firefighters responded at 6:02 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, to 1710 Sunset Drive. Upon arrival, they found a leaf fire in the back yard and used 200 gallons of water to put it put.

Firefighters were dispatched at 4:52 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, to a reported motor vehicle accident on Katy Lane. They removed glass from the roadway.

Firefighters were dispatched at 12:29 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, to a reported motor vehicle accident on Highway 53 near 53 Package. They found a vehicle overturned in a ditch, but the occupant was out of it upon their arrival. Firefighters conducted traffic control until the scene was cleaned up.

Firefighters responded at 9:56 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, to the 624 Kinzer St, home owned by Keith Wilcut. There was a reported chemical smell in the area, but firefighters found nothing. The building inspector was called because several people were found to be living in the area without utilities or water.

Mary Elizabeth Ainley, 42, of Neelyville was booked Friday, Jan. 28, into the Butler County jail on a failure to appear warrant for financial identity fraud.

Charles A. James, 19, of Van Buren was arrested at 10:06 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, in Carter County on suspicion of DWI, no valid operator’s license, littering and speeding (10 or more MPH over the speed limit). He was released.

Justin L. Sotolongo, 23, of Van Buren was arrested at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, in Carter County on suspicion of DWI and failure to signal. He was released.

Raul F. Perez, 45, of Blytheville, Arkansas was arrested at 1:01 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, in Dunklin County on suspicion of DWI (alcohol), driving while suspended, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and speeding. He was released.

Ricky W. Vaughn, 64, of Matthews was arrested at 1:16 a.m. in Stoddard County on suspicion of DWI and failure to dim headlights within 500 feet. He was released.

Christopher W. Barker, 28, of Fairdealing was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, in Butler County on Ripley County failure to appear warrants for speeding and no insurance and on suspicion of no insurance. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Roman S. Franklin, 37, of Houston, Texas was arrested at 3:23 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, in Carter County on a Harris County, Texas felony warrant for dangerous drugs and on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of marijuana (prior offender), speeding and no valid operator’s license. He was booked at the Carter County jail.

Allen J. Nelson, 64, of Silva was arrested at 5:29 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, in Madison County on suspicion of DWI (alcohol), failure to maintain the right half of the roadway causing a crash and no insurance. He was released.
