Firefighters responded to an alarm at 1:20 p.m. Friday, April 1, at the Poplar Bluff Middle School, 1308 Victory Lane. According to the report, smoke was found in the fifth grade corridor due to burned popcorn.

Firefighters were dispatched at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, April 2, to Davis St. in response to a one vehicle accident. According to the report, a vehicle was found on its side in the ditch. No injuries were reported.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
Jason M. Knuckles, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:25 a.m. Saturday, April 2, in Ripley County on suspicion of felony possession of diazepam and clonazepam, felony unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor no insurance. He was released.

A 15-year-old male sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, on Ripley County Road 160 West-7 .
According to the report, the juvenile was operating a 2019 Honda 450 southbound on private property when it began sliding and overturned.
The juvenile was transported by EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 65-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, April 3, on Highway Z, three miles east of Wappapello.
According to the report, Troy T. Holifield, 65, of Wappapello was operating a 1992 GMC Sierra eastbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Holifield was transported by Air Evac to St. Louis University Hospital.
