Akeida Monique Waters, 30, of Poplar Bluff was booked April 14 at the Butler County jail on a warrant for second degree domestic assault.

BUTLER COUNTY FIRE

County firefighters responded to an alarm at 4:56 a.m. Thursday, April 14, in reference to a structure fire at 165 Stone Creek Dr. According to the report, heavy fire was reported on the top floor of the structure. Reports indicated the structure was a total loss. The cause of the fire has not been determined and no injuries were reported.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Two people sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 3:05 p.m. Thursday, April 14, on Butler County Road 542, one mile east of Highway W.

According to the report, Monica C. Philpot, 35, of Qulin was operating a 1991 Chevrolet mail truck westbound, while Russell A. Phillips, 54, of Poplar Bluff was operating an eastbound 2004 Toyota 4Runner when both crossed the center line, sideswiping each other.

Phillips was transported by private conveyance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, while Philpot was transported by private conveyance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
