Britney JoAnn Roberts, 28, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:48 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, on a probation violation warrant. She was booked into the Butler County jail to be picked up by the U.S. Marshals Service.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT
Poplar Bluff firefighters responded to 305 N. Eighth St. at 7:44 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, to an unauthorized burn. The report said an electric pole was on fire. When they arrived, firefighters found a trash fire next to a power pole on the corner of a vacant lot. They extinguished the fire using 20 gallons of water.

Poplar Bluff firefighters responded to an unauthorized burn at 1912 Woodrow St. at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday, July 28. The reporting party said there was smoke in the area. They located a trash fire in the backyard and used 15 gallons of water to put out the fire, but were unable to contact the occupant.

Poplar Bluff firefighters responded at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, to an alarm at Gates Rubber Co., 1650 Rowe Parkway. They contacted maintenance, who stated they had lost power, setting off the alarm.
