Ethan Gage Amann, 25, of 400 block of B Street was arrested Sunday, April 25, in the 700 block of North Westwood Boulevard on failure to appear warrants for failure to maintain financial responsibility and burglary first-degree. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Keith Allen Foster, 32, of Naylor was arrested Friday, April 23, at 1441 Black River Industrial Park, on a parole violation. The original charges were assault, misdemeanor first degree non support and second-degree domestic assault. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Darrell Lee Barnes, 20, of 3105 Warrior Lane was arrested Monday, April 26, on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a child and first degree creating substantial risk. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Donnell Maurice Foster, 21, of Hazelwood was arrested Saturday, April 24, on suspicion of resisting arrest for a misdemeanor, possession of marijuana, speeding, failure to register a motor vehicle and no seat belt. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Jeremy R. Murray, 36, of the 1500 block of Grand Avenue was arrested Saturday, April 24, on suspicion of DWI, failure to display valid plates, no operator’s license and no insurance. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Julie Anne Murray, 30, of the 1500 block of Grand Avenue was arrested Saturday, April 24, on suspicion of driving while revoked, DWI (drugs), no insurance and failure to display valid plates. She was booked into the Butler County jail.

Steven B. Posey, 27, of Portageville was arrested Saturday, April 24, on suspicion of DWI, possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to drive on right half of the roadway. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Two people suffered minor injuries at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, April 25, when a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox ran off the right side of County Road 536 and struck a tree, 10 miles north of Poplar Bluff. The vehicle was driven by Jamie W. Schaefer of Wappapello and his passenger was Jon S. Mosby, 38, of Kennett. They were both taken by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Poplar Bluff firefighters responded to 2315 N. 14 St. at 8:31 p.m. Sunday, April 25, to assist Emergency Medical Services with a patient.

Firefighters responded at 12:59 a.m. Sunday, April 25, to a report of heavy smoke in the area of McLane Park. Firefighters, as well as Poplar Bluff police officers, were unable to locate a fire.

Firefighters responded at 10:19 a.m. Sunday, April 25, to Ozark Mental Health, 2325 Mangold, to a carbon monoxide incident. They checked both inside and outside around the gas lines. Nothing was found. Firefighters told officials if the alarm sounds again, contact PBFD and they will respond with Spire Gas.

Firefighters responded at 7:47 p.m. Sunday, April 25, to Wilson and Hays streets to a trash fire. They located the small trash first in the back yard of 1806 Wilson. The resident extinguished the fire and firefighters explained the city burn ordinances.

Firefighters responded at 9:39 p.m. Sunday, April 25, to 400 North B St., to an unauthorized burn. Kenneth Land, who owns the property, was burning leaves and limbs after dark. Firefighters explained the city’s burning ordinance and used 20 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters responded at 2:41 a.m. Monday, April 26, to 2049 Greenwood Drive to assist PBPD with a knock box so they could enter the building to check the welfare of a resident. The door key did not fit the door. There was nothing further firefighters could do.
