Friends taking a walk between 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at Wisemen Park returned to their vehicle to find two cell phones, one credit cards and one set of keys were missing from an unlocked vehicle.

Miscellaneous hand tools valued at $350 were reported stolen between 8:45-10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, from a truck parked in the 8100 block of Oak Grove Road.

A resident in the 600 block of west Victor street reported a new red Hyper Tough push mower was stolen between Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 18-19. The mower’s model number is B2194DR.

A resident in the 400 block of south Eighth street reported her dark blue 2013 Dodge Durango was stolen Wednesday night or .early Thursday morning, Aug. 18-19, from the driveway. The vehicle also contained a silver Asus Laptop and charger model F512DAEB51L5NOCVIIITO15, a purse, wallet, Boiser car seat, clothes, shoes, prescription glasses, $225 in bills and coins, and a case of water. The tail light cover on the driver’s side was covered.

Jerod David Stobaugh, 33, of Matthews was arrested about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, in 1500 block north Westwood Boulevard on two New Madrid County warrants for violation of a court order and aggravated assault. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Cassandra Leeann Laronge, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested on Boone County failure to appear warrants for nonsupport and probation violation between 4-4:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at 1441 Black River Industrial Park. She was booked into the Butler County jail.

The owner of a building in the 100 block of Bartlett Street reported between 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, and 10:54 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, a window had been broken in the northwest corner of his building.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Poplar Bluff firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 12.19 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19. The accident was in the southbound lane, with one occupant out of the vehicle and one needing medical assistance. Firefighters applied a spine stabilization device and helped prepare the patient for transport, then cleaned the roadway.

Firefighters responded to 807 f Sanders at 11:53 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, to a report of smoke and possible electrical fire. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check outlets and breaker box. No fire or heat was found. Power was out on the entire street, They notified Municipal Utilities before clearing the scene.

Firefighters responded to Vine Street Apartments, 430 Vine St., at 4:04 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20. A smoke sensor on the first floor was sounding. They contacted the apartment manager and advised to call the service technician to repair the alarm. The alarm was taken out of service until repairs can be made.
