Quinton Markel Cook, 31, of the 800 block of Vine Street was arrested Tuesday, July 6, in the 900 block of North Westwood Boulevard on a warrant for dangerous drugs.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Poplar Bluff firefighters responded to an unauthorized controlled burn at Main and Maud streets at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 6. Firefighters spoke with the reporting party about the burn ordinance.

Firefighters responded to a natural vegetation fire at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Employees used fire extinguishers to the existing mulch on fire in the island in the middle of the parking lot. The fire was out when the firefighters arrived.

Firefighters responded at 2:21 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, to a system malfunction at 550 N. Westwood Blvd. The zone alarm panel appeared to have a faulty detector. Maintenance was on the scene and silenced the alarm.

BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF

Bridgette Lene Cannon, 55, of the 1500 block of Coolidge was arrested Tuesday, July 6, on a capis probation violation for forgery and a failure to appear warrant for stealing .

Billy Lawrence Pettypool, 55, of the 900 block of North Street was arrested Tuesday, July 6, on a probation violation.

Essence Arissa Ross-Munoz, 21, of the 1100 block Marty Street was arrested Tuesday, July 6, on suspicion of DWI with serious physical injury.

Susan Marie Tippen, 40, of the 200 block of Euclid Avenue was arrested Tuesday, July 6, on a capias probation violation for second-degree arson.

A Neelyville woman reported between June 14 and July 2 her home on Highway EE was burglarized and an estimated $2,320 of miscellaneous items were missing. According to the report, the back door and frame were damaged and it appeared the residence had been entered multiple times in three weeks. The investigation is ongoing.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Joshua D. Phillips, 19, of Dexter was arrested Tuesday, July 6, on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident causing physical injury, endangering the welfare of a child (2 counts) and operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner causing an accident. He was booked into the Stoddard County Jail.
