A 36-year-old Naylor man was arrested Sunday, Aug. 29, and booked on charges of second-degree assault and first-degree property damage into the Butler County jail.

Ronald Wilson was identified as the suspected driver of a silver Hyundai, which allegedly chased and rammed another vehicle south of Poplar Bluff into the Walmart Supercenter parking lot.

Two females reported at 9:51 p.m., a white male in a silver Hyundai Santa Fe chased them into Poplar Bluff, tried to cut them off on the highway south of town and rammed their vehicle on South Westwood Boulevard. The females tried to escape the silver Hyundai, but the white male followed them onto the parking lot at Walmart Supercenter, where he again rammed their vehicle. One of the women fired a single round from her pistol in the back of the silver Hyundai and said, “I will shoot you” in an effort to stop the attack.

According to the report, this had the desired effect, and the white male fled the scene.

Jessica Fleeman, 39, of Puxico was arrested at 1:19 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, on Garner’s Car Wash Parking Lot, 1500 West Maud St., after her vehicle struck one of the wash bays. Fleeman was booked on charges of DWI - drugs and possession of heroin. She was placed into the Butler County jail.

Bryan Plumb, 46, of St. Peters was arrested at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, following a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Westwood Boulevard on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Jerome Webb reported Tuesday, Aug. 31, his black and silver Sunny brand scooter was stolen from the 500 block of Highway 53.

Clifton C. Reed, 62, was issued two citations for not maintaining financial responsibility and expired plates shortly after 12:25 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29. His vehicle, a maroon Ford F-150, was towed from Pine and Washington streets.

Jesse W. Parson, 35, of Fisk was issued two summons for possession of drugs Sunday, Aug. 29, at Fifth and Cherry streets.

Gary Lee Hendrix, 19, of Poplar Bluff received citations for no driver’s license and no insurance, and his vehicle was impounded between 1-2 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Second and Relief streets.

Poplar Bluff police officers conducted a search around the1400 block of Rosedale Lane about 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, after areas residents reportedly heard gunfire.

Officers responded at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, to the 500 block of North D Street, where a rock had been thrown through a south side window. The doors were locked and the hole in the window was too small to gain entry.

A resident in the 400 block of Bearden reported between noon and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, his Craftsman push mower and a 5-gallon gas can were stolen from his carport.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Poplar Bluff firefighters responded to 1519 Rosedale at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, for a public service and installed two new smoke detectors.

Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31 where two cars hit head-on with injuries on East Ashcroft and County Road 605. The occupants were out of the vehicles and Butler County EMS took one patient to the hospital. Firefighters waited until the vehicles were removed.

Firefighters responded Tuesday, Aug. 31, to a report of smoke in the area of Park and Vine streets. Nothing was found.
