Mario F. Reed, 21, of Essex was arrested at 4:53 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, on suspicion of DWI and driving while suspended. He was booked at the Stoddard County Jail.

A 65-year-old Doniphan woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, on Highway EE, eight miles east of Doniphan.

According to the report, Lyda A. Kelly was operating a 2014 Ford Edge northbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

Kelly suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A 21-year-old Ellington man was killed in an all-terrain-vehicle crash at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, on Highway Y, one-half mile west of Ellington.

According to the report, Austin W. Knudsen was operating a 1986 Honda ATV eastbound when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned.

Both Knudsen and his passenger, Coteney E. Jenkins, 17, of Ellington, reportedly were ejected.

Knudsen was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:08 p.m. by Butler County Coroner Andy Moore.

Jenkins was flown to St. Louis Children’s Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

Knudsen is the 39th fatality in Troop G this year.

A 26-year-old Cape Girardeau man was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, on Highway 34, two miles west of Burfordville.

According to the report, James R. Ross was operating a 2014 Infinity eastbound when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned.

Ross was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:30 p.m. by Cape Girardeau County Deputy Coroner David Taylor.

Ross is the 61st fatality in Troop E this year.

BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

Lamar Walker, 58, of Kennett was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, Nov. 1, on a warrant for parole violation an a failure to appear warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.

Gina Blue reported Tuesday, Dec. 1, that a generator was stolen from Southern Bank in the 13300 block of Highway 53 at Qulin.

Mary E. Ezernack reported her home on Highway Z had been entered between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 25.

According to the report, assorted jewelry, including bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings, were stolen.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Three Poplar Bluff residents were injured in a three-vehicle crash at 7:29 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the intersection of Barron Road and Baugh Lane.

According to the report, Lindsey Nicole Ruble, 17, of the 2500 block of West Avondale Road was operating a 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser westbound on Barron Road.

At the same time, William Trevor Douglas, 35, of the 200 block of Autumn Breeze was operating a 2017 Dodge van westbound on Barron Road, as was Courtney Marie Burnett, 27, of the 1300 block of Wade.

Ruble’s car and Douglas’ van reportedly were stopped due to a vehicle turning south on Baugh Lane.

Burnett’s 1995 Chevrolet pickup allegedly failed to stop and struck the rear of Douglas’ van, which then reportedly struck Ruble’s car.

Ruble complained of head and neck injury.

Burnett and her 5-year-old passenger, Danyelle P. Burnett, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

MALDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT

MALDEN -- Stephen Wallace of Gideon was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 1, on a Malden municipal failure to appear warrant. He was booked at the Malden City Jail.
