Three new Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers assigned to the roadways of Southeast Missouri reported for duty earlier this week after their recent graduation from the patrol's Law Enforcement Academy.
As members of the 105th recruit class, the troopers were among 26 who graduated June 29 after completing a 25-week training course.
Assigned to Troop E are Justin C. Johnson of Doniphan, Jared C. Chronister of Mountain Grove, and Tyler R. Sappington of Pilot Knob.
Johnson has been assigned to Zone 7, which serves the citizens of Mississippi, New Madrid, and Scott counties.
A graduate of Doniphan High School, Johnson holds a bachelor of arts degree from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. His field-training officer will be Trooper Blake D. Wunderlich.
Chronister has been assigned to Zone 8, which serves the citizens of New Madrid and Pemiscot counties.
A graduate of Cabool High School, Chronister's field-training officer will be Sgt. Marcel M. Jones.
Sappington has been assigned to Zone 9, which serves the citizens of New Madrid and Pemiscot counties.
A graduate of Arcadia Valley Academy in Pilot Knob, Sappington holds an associate of applied science degree from Mineral Area College in Park Hills.
Sappington's field-training officer will be Cpl. Ricky L. Vannada.
