Firefighters responded to a call at 11:38 a.m. Saturday, March 7, of an unauthorized fire at the 2221 Trousdale St. home owned by Rick Brittingham and occupied by Rachel Taylor.
Upon their arrival, firefighters found the home’s occupants trying to put out a grass fire. Firefighters used 50 gallons of water to extinguish the fire and used a thermal imaging camera on a nearby shed, which sustained damage, to check for hot spots.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 4:58 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at the 731 Mill St. home managed by Amy McClain and occupied by Trentex Lane, Demario Lane and Cathy Cody.
Upon their arrival, firefighters found a shed, close to the home in the back, fully involved. The fire spread to the house and also melted the siding at 729 Mill St.
Firefighters set up a positive pressure ventilation fan and used 3,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire. A gas meter was used to check for leaks and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots.
Spire Gas, Municipal Utilities and the state fire marshal were requested to respond to the scene.
At 12:05 p.m. Sunday, March 8, firefighters again were dispatched to the home for a rekindled fire in the kitchen area. They used 500 gallons of water to put out the fire and checked for hot spots with a thermal imaging camera.

Firefighters responded at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, March 8, to a report of a grass and woods fire at the 2840 Lakeside home occupied by Jonathan Banks.
Upon their arrival, firefighters found smoke and a large fire coming from the rear of the residence.
They used 1,000 gallons of water to put out the fire and noted the wind caused the fire to spread to 2844, 2838, 2826 and 2820 Mill St.

Upon their arrival, firefighters found a small tree which had caught on fire from the nearby grill, but the occupants already had put it out.

Upon their arrival, firefighters found trash burning in the back yard and used 50 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.

While fueling their truck at 7:52 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Ricks 66, firefighters were contacted by customers about a man inside with chest pains.
They evaluated the man, called EMS and assisted them with packaging and loading the patient for transport to a hospital.

According to the report, the rear bearings on the truck, owned by WOC Trucking, overheated.
