Poplar Bluff Firefighters responded at 12:51 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, to a possible structure fire in a vacant single story house on South F street. Once the fire was out, the firefighters searched the house and no one was inside. Officers contacted the fire marshal and returned to the station at 1:48 p.m. Butler County EMS was on stand by at the scene.

Poplar Bluff Firefighters responded at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North Main and Davis streets.
When firefighters arrived two vehicles were already off the roadway, there were no injuries and no need for extrication. Officers cleared the scene at 12:01 p.m.

Poplar Bluff Firefighters responded at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, to a rollover accident on Shelby Road at the intersection of Roxie Road. There were no injuries. Firefighters put down absorbent pads in the ditch to soak up oil. They cleared the scene at 11:37 p.m.

Poplar Bluff Firefighters responded at 1:29 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, to a large unauthorized burn in the 1500 block of Bethel Street. They located the fire in the back of 1502 Bethel St. There was no one to contact at the house. They extinguished the fire and cleared the scene at 1:42 a.m.

Poplar Bluff Firefighters responded at 5:28 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, to a large unauthorized burn at 1614 N. 14th Street. Trash was being burned in the backyard. Firefighters told the individual about the no-burn ordinance and extinguished the fire. They cleared the scene at 5:45 p.m.
