City firefighters responded at 11:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25, to 341 E. Henry St. in response to reports of a burn.
According to the report, they found an unattended leaf fire in the backyard and informed resident Jeremy Williams that the fire needed to be attended. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25, to the intersection of Benton and Lexington streets to reports of a burn.
According to the report, they found a family having a Christmas bonfire and issued a bonfire permit before leaving. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 2:03 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, to 712 W. Victor St. to reports of a building fire.
According to the report, when they arrived there was moderate smoke coming from the front door and roof.
They used 5,000 gallons of water to put out the fire. The building was vacant.
The Missouri State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
Firefighters returned to the same building at 10:41 a.m. the same day to reports it was on fire again.
This time they used a booster line and approximately 50 gallons of water to put it out this time.
Allegedly, smoldering insulation from inside a wall cavity had ignited the wood exterior siding.
