__Poplar Bluff Fire Department__
Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched shortly before midnight Tuesday, April 18, to 949 Robin Lane to assist Butler County EMS in making entry inside the home.
According to Captain Bradley Jones, the occupant of the home had fallen and could not unlock the door. Firefighters had to remove the outer lock from a barred door and force the interior door. The two firefighters helped EMS prepare the patient for transport. The front door was secured.

Firefighters were dispatched at 5:16 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, to a reported gas leak at 1320 Euel Road. The property owner cut the line below the ground while excavating. He had the leak plugged prior to the crew’s arrival. Firefighters left when Spire gas arrived.

Firefighters responded at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, to an alarm at Poplar Bluff Junior High School, 550 N. Westwood Blvd. Upon arrival, the crews checked the alarm panel for the pull station which had been activated. They reset the alarm.

Poplar Bluff firefighters responded at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 20, to an alarm at 2018 Sanders St.
According to Battalion Chief Stacy Harmon, firefighters made contact with an occupant who stated the alarm had been causing problems and had just stared sounding. Other fire units were canceled. Firefighters checked the panel and stated it had multiple trouble codes with various sensors. The occupant was advised to contact the alarm technician to have the system checked.
