City firefighters responded at 10:09 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, to a report of a possible vehicle fire at Ross Dress For Less, 3025 Oak Grove Road.
According to the report, firefighters did not see any vehicles on fire or smoking on the lot and subsequently were told it was a truck with a camper on the parking lot.
The truck’s owner, James Midkiff, reported there was no fire.

City firefighters responded at 8:19 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, to a report of a strange odor coming from the elevator at 2049 Greenwood Drive.
According to the report, firefighters checked the elevator with a multigas meter, and nothing was detected.

City firefighters responded at 7:58 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, to a report of a structure fire at the 1038 Butler St. residence occupied by Evangelina Coleman.
According to the report, Coleman told firefighters there was no fire.

According to the report, firefighters assisted emergency-medical-services personnel.
