City firefighters responded 10:37 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, to an alarm at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, 1500 N. Westwood Blvd. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, to a report of a vehicle with its throttle stuck and leaking fuel at 3209 Oak Grove Road.
According to the report, firefighters found an overheated truck leaking antifreeze and diesel and used an absorbent on the fluids. The truck’s owner is Jerry McFann, 2615 W. Avondale Road.

City firefighters responded at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, to a report of an ash tray with smoldering discarded material at Three Rivers College’s Westover Administration Building, 2080 Three Rivers Blvd.
According to the report, firefighters used one-quarter of a gallon of water to put out the fire.
