City firefighters responded at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the 703 Davis St. residence occupied by Kay Crumpton.
According to the report, firefighters found Crumpton burning limbs and an old door in a burn barrel.
Firefighters told Crumpton about the city’s burn ordinance, and she was allowed to continuing burning, but was told not to add anything other than limbs or leaves.

County firefighters responded at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, to a report of a vehicle fire on County Road 345 in Neelyville.
According to the report, the tractor, owned by the Butler County Highway Department, was destroyed.

According to the report, the fire was contained to an attic at the residence, owned by Pamela Hillis.
