City firefighters responded at 6:13 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, to a fire at the 1614 N. 14th St. residence occupied by Shannon Mansfield.
According to the report, firefighters found a man burning trash in the back yard and told him about the city’s burn ordinance. The man put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 12:13 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, to 2545 Earl St., where they changed a smoke detector battery.

City firefighters responded at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, to a motor-vehicle crash on South Westwood Boulevard.
According to the report, a firefighters assisted the vehicle’s occupant while other firefighters disabled the vehicle.
Firefighters assisted in loading the driver into an ambulance, as well as helped tow company personnel removed the vehicle.

County firefighters responded at 7:46 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, to a vehicle fire at the intersection of Highway AA and County Road 564.
According to the report, a truck was fully involved upon the firefighters’ arrival and was destroyed by the fire. A second truck, owned by Townsend, also was damaged.
