City firefighters responded at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, to a report of a smoke odor at Jimmy Johns, 3101 Oak Grove Road.
According to the report, firefighters used the department’s thermal-imaging camera to check the breaker box, lighting and other areas for excessive heat and a multigas meter to check for carbon monoxide. Nothing was found.

County firefighters responded at 1:28 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, to a reported gas leak at Second and Broadway in Neelyville.
According to the report, a utility company had hit an underground gas line, and firefighters stood by until the line was repaired.
