City firefighters responded at 9:46 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, to a report of smoke in the 123 S. C St. residence owned by Tyler Berry.
According to the report, firefighters found light smoke, but no visible fire.
Upon entering the structure, firefighters reportedly found a small fire in a bedroom and used 100 gallons of water to put it out.
A propane heater and propane bottle, which had been partially consumed, reportedly were found.

According to the report, firefighters found the occupant at 403 N. D St. was burning leaves and was in compliance with the city’s burn ordinance.

City firefighters responded at 9:28 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, to a report of an unauthorized burn in the area of 521 W. Arthur St.
According to the report, firefighters found a large pile of trash burning in the back yard at the 525 Arthur St. residence owned by Mike Smith.
Firefighters reportedly told Smith about the city’s burn ordinance and used 50 gallons of water to put out the fire.

According to the report, firefighters found smoke coming from a shed and used 30 gallons of water to put out the fire.
