City firefighters responded at 5:25 p.m. Sunday, June 2, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the 619 S. C St. residence owned by Mickey O’Kelly.
According to the report, firefighters found O’Kelly had torn down an old house and was burning building materials. Firefighters used 250 gallons of water to put out the fire and told O’Kelly he was not allowed to burn building materials.

City firefighters responded at 6:46 p.m. Saturday, June 1, to the 624 Dewey St. residence owned by Shirley Kirby.
According to the report, Kirby was locked out of her house, and firefighters made entry without doing any damaged to her home.

City firefighters responded at 4:41 p.m. Saturday, June 1, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the intersection of B and Sycamore streets.
According to the report, firefighters found items burning in a trash barrel in the backyard of the 403 N. D St. residence occupied by Grashella Casteel and owned by Lynn Jones.
Casteel allegedly was burning boxes in the barrel, and the boxes were nearly gone.
Firefighters told Casteel about the city’s burn ordinance.

City firefighters responded at 8:03 p.m. Friday, May 31, to assist emergency-medical-services personnel in lifting and loading a patient at 1105 Bradley St.

According to the report, firefighters found a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, owned by John Turner, fully involved in front of the residence and used 300 gallons of water to put it out.
Firefighters request a tow company remove the SUV as it was partially blocking the road.

According to the report, a large dumpster filled with trash and demolition materials had caught fire.

According to the report, a small area in the engine compartment of a Saturn, owned by Cathryn Stone, burned.
