According to the report, firefighters found a controlled burn, with a burn permit, at 2701 Russell Road.

According to the report, firefighters assisted emergency-medical-services personnel in packaging and loading a patient for transport.

City firefighters responded at 3:43 p.m. Friday, July 5, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the 2610 Russell Road residence occupied by Mike Kelly and owned by Pat Kelly.

According to the report, firefighters found a pile of trash burning in the back yard.

Mike Kelly reported there was a problem with bed bugs and that was the reason for the fire. Firefighters put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 1:56 p.m. Friday, July 5, to a report of a gas leak at 2307 Covington Meadows. It was investigation only.

According to the report, firefighters contacted a Spire gas company technician at the scene who reported he was able to shut off the gas at the shut-off valve to the meter.

The technician reportedly showed firefighters the valve shut off, which was no longer leaking. The technician used a gas meter to ensure there weren’t any leaks beneath the ground.

County firefighters responded at 7:17 p.m. Friday, July 5, to a vehicle fire at the intersection of Highway 67 and Highway JJ.

According to the report, a 2005 Chevrolet pickup, owned by Ryan Vanderusen, was fully involved upon the arrival of the fire department.

According to the report, the double-wide mobile home was fully involved upon the fire department’s arrival, and it was destroyed.
