County firefighters responded at 9:46 p.m. Sunday, June 30, to a fire involving a travel trailer at 107 Clark Drive.
According to the report, the travel trailer, owned by Doug and Robert Clark, was destroyed.

City firefighters responded at 5:26 a.m. Monday, July 1, to a report of a fire burning in the tree line in the 1000 block of South Westwood Boulevard.
According to the report, firefighters found a small pile of copper wire was being burned to remove the coating. The fire had burned itself out.
Firefighters used one gallon of water to cool the wire and removed it from the scene.

City firefighters responded at 1:31 a.m. Monday, July 1, to a report of a kitchen fire at the 817 Warren St. residence occupied by Lillian Hawkins and owned by Laura Hawkins.
According to the report, firefighters found like smoke showing upon their arrival.
The occupants reported they had attempted to put the fire out, but were unable to do so.
Firefighters found a small fire burning inside the burner area of the stove and used water from the sink to put the fire out.
A positive-pressure ventilation fan was set up to ventilate the structure. Firefighters reportedly moved the stove to check for further fire extension and shut off its power.
Before leaving the scene, the stove was rechecked for heat and any signs of re-ignition.

City firefighters responded at 7:51 p.m. Sunday, June 30, to a report of an unauthorized burn at the 1424 Parkview Drive residence owned by Brian Cooper.
According to the report, firefighters found a fire with limbs and what appeared to be the remains of furniture.
Firefighters told Cooper about the city’s burn ordinance, including the no burning of trash.
