City firefighters responded at 3:33 a.m. Tuesday to a fire alarm at 2233 N. Westwood Boulevard. According to the report, upon arrival firefighters found an indoor sprinkler line had burst in a break room causing water to flow in the outdoor canopy section. Water was not being released indoors...

City firefighters responded at 3:33 a.m. Tuesday to a fire alarm at 2233 N. Westwood Boulevard.

According to the report, upon arrival firefighters found an indoor sprinkler line had burst in a break room causing water to flow in the outdoor canopy section. Water was not being released indoors.

Dispatch advised the water department had been contacted and was en route. Dispatch made contact with the key holder who arrived a short time later to give firefighters access to the building.

Once an employee arrived, firefighters were able to access and shut off the water supply to the system.

Firefighters collected information and cleared the scene. The employee was going to contact the alarm company and have them put the system into test mode until repairs could be made.

City firefighters responded at 11:23 p.m. Monday to a structure fire at 1820 Woodrow Street.

According to the report, upon arrival firefighters found a small detached shed structure with flames showing on the outside of the building.

Firefighters used a bumper line to extinguish the exterior with 25 gallons of water. Firefighters overhauled the roofing and interior of the structure.

City firefighters responded at 7:36 p.m. Monday to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 1320 Tremont Street.

According to the report, firefighters arrived to find a two-vehicle accident with one of the passengers complaining of pain in her legs.

Firefighters assisted EMS with loading the patient and cleared the scene.

City firefighters responded at 7:29 p.m. Monday to an alarm system at 1429 N. Westwood Boulevard.

According to the report, before pulling out of the station dispatch notified firefighters an employee called and stated it was a false alarm.

Upon arrival, firefighters met with the manager who stated the alarm was due to a malfunction and he was in process of contacting the company to figure out how to reset the alarm.

City firefighters responded at 8:51 p.m. Friday to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Davis and Alice Street.

According to the report, upon arrival firefighters found one vehicle ran through a ditch and struck a tree. There were no serious injuries.

Once EMS arrived, they transported one of the passengers. The passenger stated the driver left the scene.

While waiting on a wrecker to remove the vehicle, the driver walked back to the scene. He was detained by the Poplar Bluff Police Department.

After detained, he requested to go to the hospital and police officers transported him.

Once the vehicle was removed, firefighters cleared the scene.

City firefighters responded at 11:14 a.m. Friday to a motor vehicle accident at 1260 Barron Road.

According to the report, upon arrival firefighters found a single vehicle accident with one occupant.

Firefighters determined extrication would be needed. EMS arrived while firefighters were setting up the rescue equipment. They used spreaders, cutters and a ram to extricate the occupant.

Firefighters helped EMS load the occupant on a backboard then stretcher for transport.

City firefighters responded at 10:43 a.m. Friday to assist Medic One at 641 Lindsay Street.

According to the report, firefighters assisted getting an occupant from his vehicle into his residence.

City firefighters responded at 8:46 a.m. Friday to assist at 205 S. Main Street.

According to the report, firefighters assisted Poplar Bluff Police Department, animal control, building inspectors and Smith & Company to provide lighting as they inspected the building.
