City firefighters responded at 11:21 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, to a report of a possible unauthorized burn in the area of Ninth and Poplar streets.
According to the report, firefighters found a small, unattended leaf fire burning in front yard of 205 S. Ninth St. The fire was extinguished.

City firefighters responded at 1:09 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, to a possible structure fire at 304 Victor St.
According to the report, firefighters found light smoke coming from the residence and upon further investigation found a small fire in a metal container inside the residence.
Firefighters removed the container and used five gallons of water to put out the fire.
Firefighters contacted a man, who reported he was cleaning up the residence for his vehicle and decided to burn some paperwork inside the home.

City firefighters responded at 5:12 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, to a motor-vehicle crash at 797 N. Westwood Blvd.
According to the report, firefighters remained on the scene until the vehicles were removed.
