City firefighters responded at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, to a report of a strange odor, possibly smoke inside the 1008 Mary St. residence occupied by Jennifer Green. According to the report, firefighters used the department’s thermal-imaging camera to check all the wall outlets and breaker boxes...

City firefighters responded at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, to a report of a strange odor, possibly smoke inside the 1008 Mary St. residence occupied by Jennifer Green.

According to the report, firefighters used the department’s thermal-imaging camera to check all the wall outlets and breaker boxes.

Green reported the air conditioning unit had been worked on earlier in the day, and firefighters checked the outside unit as well.

Firefighters were unable to locate the source of the odor.

City firefighters responded at 10:26 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, to a report of a smoke odor in the area of 2147 Autumn Road.

According to the report, firefighters found light smoke in the area, but were unable to locate its source.

City firefighters responded at 7:44 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, to the report of a large fire in the rear of the 1112 Cole Ave. residence occupied by Andrew Lomax.

According to the report, firefighters found a mattress was being burned in the back yard. Firefighters used 25 gallons of water to put out the fire and told Lomax about the city’s burn ordinances.
