City firefighters responded at 10:39 a.m. Monday, April 6, to a report of a structure fire on Price Street.
According to the report, firefighters found a small fire on a back porch at the 726 Price St. residence occupied by Melissa Hays.
Firefighters used 10 gallons of water to put out the fire, which was contained to a box of decorations.
The home’s siding suffered a little bit of heat damage from the fire.
Firefighters set up a positive-pressure-ventilation fan to remove the smoke from the home.

City firefighters responded at 10:36 a.m. Monday, April 6, to a report of leaves being burned in the back yard at 1502 Lurlyn Drive.
According to the report, firefighters found the homeowner burning a small pile of leaves, and firefighters asked the homeowner to put out the fire because it was bothering a neighbor. The homeowner used a garden hose to put out the fire.
