Tim Frye

Tim Frye passed away Dec. 29, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family when he quietly left. He was 71 years old, born June 20, 1953, the son of John Vernon and Dana Garrison Frye (Pettit) Frye.

Born in Cassville, Missouri, and with intermittent moves Columbia, Poplar Bluff, and Jackson, Missouri. Tim grew up in Cassville, Missouri, graduating from Cassville High School in 1971. After marrying his high school sweetheart and love of his life Lou Ann Edie, in June of 1973, Tim graduated from University of Missouri and started his career in banking.

Following his dream, he became a banker and worked at Commerce Bank in Cassville, Missouri and retired from Sterling Bank in Poplar Bluff Missouri. He had a long banking career where he took great pride in his achievements and those of his colleagues. Tim always made sure to help everyone he encountered and was a great asset in the banking world.

Tim’s family will remember him as a faithful husband, a loving father, and amazing Gramps, an eternal optimist with a sweet and gentle disposition. He set a gracious, Christian example and will be dearly missed.

Tim Frye was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Keith Frye and his nephew, Joshua Seth Harris.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lou “Ann” (Edie) Frye; his daughter, Bethany Ann Byrd (Stephen Michael Byrd), his grandsons, Cameron Joshua Byrd and Olen Jackson Byrd, and sister, Dana Katherine Burks of Columbia, Missouri.

Service for Tim will be held at Crossroads Church in Jackson, Missouri, at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 11, 2025.

Interment will follow.
