Jerry Skaggs

Jerry Dwain Skaggs passed away on the evening of Nov. 18, 2024, at the age of 85.

He was born April 16, 1939, in Ruble, Missouri to Burnell and Lorene Skaggs. Jerry was a loving father and a loyal friend with an easy smile, who never met a stranger. He retired from United Parcel Service after 35 years. He made the most of his retirement, following his passion for horses, family and friends. He was rarely seen without his trademark cowboy hat.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Imogene and daughter Debra. He is survived by three sisters, Glenda (Jim) George, Barbara Smith, and Roberta (Robert) Copeland; brother, Russell Skaggs; children, Shelia Pigmon, Scott (Suzanne) Pigmon, and Christopher (Kimberly) Skaggs; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; countless friends; his special friend of 23 years, Carla Moore and his horse, Lad.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, with Pastor David Case officiating and burial at Ellington Memorial Cemetery.
