Martha McTasney

Martha Imogene McTasney, 87, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at Oakdale Care Center.

Martha was born Aug. 31, 1937, to Pascal and Naomi (Thompson) Timmons in Poplar Bluff.

Martha was of the Christian faith. She attended Green Forest Church of Christ with her friend when her health allowed. Martha loved watching and feeding the wildlife in her yard, especially the deer (which each had a name). She enjoyed walking, miniature golf, and playing bingo every Friday. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially all her grandchildren.

Martha is survived by two children, Steven (Margaret) McDonald and Karen (Parker) King; one brother, Frank (Karen) Timmons; two grandsons, Christopher (Amy F.) Gordon and Preston (Laura) King; four great-grandchildren, Austin (Amber Iller) Nelson, Christian Nelson, Jayden (Kalise) Gordon, and Leland Gordon; three great-great-grandchildren, Hunter Iller-Nelson, Roseline Gordon, and Amelia Gordon; close friend whom Martha considered a daughter, Julita Michel; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Juanita (Charles “Bill”) Haynes.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ron Black officiating. Burial will take place at Kerns Chapel Cemetery in Stringtown, Missouri.
