Mary Ellen Casinger, 78, of Neelyville, Missouri passed away Oct. 13, 2024, in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 9, 1945, at Neelyville to the late N.C. “Doc” McCain and Ruth “Cox” McCain.

On Sept. 23, 1961, at Poplar Bluff, Missouri, she was married to Hank Casinger. He preceded her in death March 18, 2012.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing lottery tickets and her chickens. She is a lifelong resident of Butler County.

She is survived by her children, DeWayne Casinger and wife, Lorie, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Lonnie Casinger and wife, Donna, of Corning, Arkansas, as well as two brothers, Jerry McCain and Larry McCain, both of Smithland, Kentucky. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one daughter, Laurie Casinger Fowler, and two brothers, Jim McCain and Weslie Cox.

Visitation will start at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, with the funeral following at noon all in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Coon Island Cemetery.
