FREE ACCESS: Current River Cleanup canceled

The Current River Cleanup on Saturday has been canceled because of the high risk of storms.

This would have been the fourth year for the event which is part of AmeriCorps Seniors of Butler and Carter Counties 9/11 service project. AmeriCorps Seniors was formerly RSVP.

Volunteers have collected nearly 8,000 pounds of trash out of the Current River, much of it from the 2017 flood.
