At 2:47 p.m. Sept. 10, the Doniphan Police Department received information that there was a shooting, with one victim reported, on Apricot Street.
Officers were dispatched to the location to investigate, and as a precaution, Doniphan Police Cpl. Kevin Vaillancourt advised the Doniphan R-I School to go into lockdown.
Apricot Street runs adjacent to the Current River Career Center, the Current River State School, and the Doniphan High School.
According to Vaillancourt, confirmation was given that it was safe to advise the school to resume regular activity at 3:05 p.m.
There was no fatality resulting from the shooting.
No further information is being released at this time.
