Two events this week will benefit FosterAdopt Connect, a nonprofit organization specializing in solving problems for kids and families involved in and affected by the child welfare system.
“One Hit Wonders” will be the theme of music bingo starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Haffy’s Sports Bar & Grill. Entry is $10 and tables need to be reserved by 6 p.m. There will be a 50/50 raffle, music, prizes and more.
It will be followed Saturday by the third annual Eric Simmons Memorial Golf Tournament, with an afterparty at 8 p.m. at Haffy’s.
“This celebration offers a unique opportunity to create cherished memories while supporting an incredible cause,” organizers have shared. “Your support will profoundly impact the lives of countless children, creating opportunities, fostering positive change and breaking the generational cycle of childhood abuse and neglect.”
The golf tournament will be held from 12:30-6 p.m. at Ozark Ridge Golf Course. There will be a four-man scramble. Sign up is $260 per team.
The afterparty will include music from Jesse Charles Hammock of Powder Mill and Nashville hiphop recording artist Rev. It celebrates what would have been Simmons’ 50th birthday.
A raffle is also being held, with tickets $10. The drawing will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday. Participants do not need to be present to win. Prizes include the Hometown Package, worth over $2,500. It includes a Blackstone Griddle, Gournia Iced Coffee Maker, Elite Trucking Academy shirts and hats, Hampton Inn stay, Brooke Vermillion photo session, additional gift certificates and more.
Additional prize packages are also worth more than $2,500 each and include the road trip package and St. Louis package.
