Van Elvis Lewis, 78, left this earth at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 29, 2024 in Ozark, Arkansas. He was born Jan. 10, 1946 to William Elvis and Lillie Mae Branscum Lewis. Van came into this world in the seat of a Model T on the way to the hospital in Batesville, Arkansas. He lived his life to the fullest by driving his Harley Davidson, driving his painted up Ford van, and driving over the road for many years in his Ford hotshot truck. Van could fix almost anything that was broken!...

Van Elvis Lewis, 78, left this earth at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 29, 2024 in Ozark, Arkansas.

He was born Jan. 10, 1946 to William Elvis and Lillie Mae Branscum Lewis. Van came into this world in the seat of a Model T on the way to the hospital in Batesville, Arkansas. He lived his life to the fullest by driving his Harley Davidson, driving his painted up Ford van, and driving over the road for many years in his Ford hotshot truck. Van could fix almost anything that was broken!

Van was the baby of nine children and the last one to leave this earth. His siblings were William Ray Lewis, Gracie Johnson, Jewell Burnett, Dean Lewis, Jimmie Lewis, Doris Seidelman, Bob Lewis, and Davie Lewis.

He had two babies who passed before him, Lisa Ann Lewis and Douglas Lewis.

He is survived by four children, Betty (Betsy) Mae Harwell (Justin) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Julie Vanessa Hicks (Melvin) of Ozark, Arkansas, Amanda Kaye Jones (Jeffrey) of Poplar Bluff, and Bradley Van Lewis (Melisa) of Branson, Missouri; grandchildren, Amber Walker (Daniel), Mike Harwell, Mitchel Harwell, Ashley McClellan (Jay), Austin Hicks (Lauren), Hunter Harwell, and Corona Jones; great-grandchildren, Evvy June McClellan, Ranger Hicks, and Grant Walker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 at the Dunning Cemetery in Harviell, Missouri. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
