Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 200 block of Midland Street about a stolen vehicle. The victim stated he allowed a homeless female to stay the night and when he woke up she was gone and so was his vehicle. The female has been identified and charges were sent to the Butler County jail. The vehicle was entered as stolen.

Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 400 block of Highway 53 about a male who had overdosed. The victim had mixed his sleeping medicine and alcohol and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Brett Freeze, 30, of Ellington was arrested Friday, Sept. 6, on a Ripley County warrant. Freeze was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 700 block of Cynthia Street about a stolen animal. The victim advised his dog was on a runner while he was gone and when he returned the collar was still attached to the runner but his dog was gone. An area search of the neighborhood was conducted and the dog was not located. There is no suspect at this time.

Officers conducted a traffic stop Friday, Sept. 6, for an improper license plate on Vine at 8th Street. The operator did not have insurance and the vehicle was towed by Xtreme Towing. The driver was released with three citations.

Officers made contact Friday, Sept. 6, with Terri Lee by phone in reference to her father Phillip Lee missing. Terri said she last spoke to Phillip a month ago and since then his phone has been turned off. Phillip was entered as a missing person.

Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 2300 block of Tennessee Street for an assault. The victim stated his brother-in-law hit him in the side of the head over a microwave. The brother-in-law was not on scene and was mailed a citation for assault.

Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 100 block of Center Street about stealing. The victim said she had a stainless steel grill stolen from her porch. There are no suspects at this time.

Damon Crowley, 46, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Friday, Sept. 6, on multiple warrants through Butler County and the City of Poplar Bluff. Crowley was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 1000 block of Lester Street about a person having suicidal ideations. Contact was made with the subject in her bedroom and she assaulted the officers, who were able to control her and transported her to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 100 block of 8th Street about property damage. The victim stated someone broke a latch to his crawl space and damaged his water heater in an attempt to steal it. There are no suspects at this time.

Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 1000 block of Dixon Street about a burglary. The victim came home and found a friend of their son lying in his bed uninvited. The male was asked to leave and he did without incident.

Officers responded Friday, Sept. 6, to the 900 Block of Nickey Street about trespassing. The victim’s ex-boyfriend keeps coming to her house and threatening her. The suspects fled on foot before officer’s arrival. Charges were sent to the Butler County Prosecutors Office.
