Kittye Hall

Wednesday, July 31, 2024

Kittye Alice Hall, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed into her promised heavenly home July 30, 2024, to meet her Savior and be reunited with her family.

Kittye was born the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, to Joseph Arvil and Alice Belle (Sinks) Hall in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Shortly after her arrival, the news of Pearl Harbor bombing was received.

Kittye was an avid reader and loved the feeling of having a real book in her hands to read. She enjoyed gardening and was the past president of the Poplar Bluff Master Gardener’s Club. Kittye would rather be outside with her hands in the soil than inside cleaning house any day! She was of the Baptist faith and taught third grade Sunday School class for many years. Kittye was responsible for naming Poplar Bluff’s first city owned park in 1952, “Hillcrest Park”.

Kittye is survived by her nephew, Michael (Mary) Hall; niece, Janice Hall Willis; three great-nephews, Brandon (Hannah) Hall, Joseph (Amanda) Willis and Jeffrey Hall.

Kittye was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald Hall and Theodore “Ted” Hall; nephew, Larry Hall; two sisters-in-law, Billie (Brown) Hall and Phyllis (Grassmann) Hall.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at Woodlawn Cemetery. She will be laid to rest next to her parents.

Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services is honored to serve the family and friends of Ms. Kittye Hall.
