Officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 12:20 a.m. Friday, July 19, near Fifth and Park streets in reference to an equipment violation. Charlie Harrison, 27, of Poplar Bluff was arrested on outstanding Poplar Bluff City warrants. Harrison was transported and lodged at the Butler County jail.

Officers responded at approximately 3:20 a.m. Friday, July 19, to the 800 block of Franklin Street in reference to a verbal dispute. Vinetia Samel, 36, of Poplar Bluff was arrested on outstanding municipal and Probation & Parole warrants. Samel was booked at Butler County jail.

Officers took a report at approximately 11:28 a.m. Friday, July 19, of a violation of an adult protection order at the police department. Charges were sent to the Butler County prosecutor’s office for further review.

Officers responded at approximately 4:51 p.m. Friday, July 19, to Walmart in reference to an intoxicated subject. Upon arrival, officers were notified the suspect had stolen several items as well. Dominic Mullins, 28, of Poplar Bluff was arrested on charges of shoplifting before being transported and lodged at the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 7:20 p.m. Friday, July 19, to Walmart in reference to flourishing a weapon. Officers investigated the incident and determined subject pulled out a knife in fear of being assaulted. No injuries were reported and no physical contact was made between parties.

Charles Williams, 44, of Poplar Bluff was issued a summons for false proof of insurance and no proof of insurance. Officers contacted the next tow truck on the list, which time arrived and took possession of the motorcycle.
