Officers were dispatched Tuesday, July 16, to Iron Bridge Road in response to an abandoned vehicle blocking the roadway. A white Saturn Vue was towed by Rushin’s Towing after all attempts had been made to locate the owner.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to Save-A-Lot in response to a call about a stealing. An unknown black male entered the store, drank a smoothie and discarded the package in the store and placed another smoothie in his pants. The male left the store without paying for either of the smoothies. The investigation continues.

Officers made contact Tuesday, July 16, with Hannah Halcumb who reported she had lost or someone stole her front license plate off of her vehicle.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to Dollar General on the east side to a report of property damage to a vehicle. The victim advised her ex-boyfriend stabbed her tire three times before fleeing. A summons will be mailed.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to New Era to a report about someone wanting to harm themselves. Contact was made and the individual was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Leslie Patterson, 41, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested Tuesday, July 16, on a Stoddard County warrant (bond $1,000 cash-only) and was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to Walmart to a report about a shoplifter in the store. Officers made contact with Carl Crouch and as the officer was placing him in handcuffs, Crouch took off running on foot. Officers caught Crouch at Sonic and placed him in handcuffs. Crouch was lodged in the Butler County jail for stealing, resisting arrest and drug charges.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to the 200 block of Arthur Street for a harassment report. The victim stated she had been getting text messages making threats to harm her. The number was from a Textnow app and could not be traced at this time.

Officers responded to 1100 block of Vine Street to a report about the rear door being open. Officers discovered the air conditioner unit had been destroyed and the copper was gone. The inside of the building had been damaged and the copper and wires had been stolen.

Randall Hardin, 44, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Tuesday, July 16, during a traffic stop for violating an order of protection. Hardin was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Brandon Nance, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Tuesday, July 16, on warrants through Scott and Cape Girardeau counties. Nance was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to the Winning Circle regarding shots fired. No one was injured. This is under investigation.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to 2000 Lowery Street to a report of a missing person. Lynnette Rasch told officers her boyfriend Michael Makarewicz went out to move his vehicle and has not been seen or heard from since.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to 600 Kinzer Street to a report of domestic assault. Officers spoke to the victim and determined Phillip Graves pulled a knife on the victim and made threats to do harm. Graves was arrested and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded Tuesday, July 16, to the 200 block of Abington Street about property damage. The victim told officers someone broke out two of her windows while she was not home. There are no suspects at this time.
