Officers were dispatched Saturday, July 6, to the 2700 block of Holly Trails in reference to a violation of ex parte. The victim stated her ex-husband had violated the ex parte by calling her multiple times. A probable cause affidavit was completed and sent to the prosecuting attorney...

Officers were dispatched Saturday, July 6, to the 2700 block of Holly Trails in reference to a violation of ex parte. The victim stated her ex-husband had violated the ex parte by calling her multiple times. A probable cause affidavit was completed and sent to the prosecuting attorney.

Officers were dispatched Saturday, July 6, to the 700 block of Maud Street in reference to property damage. The victim stated their house was shot with a pellet gun causing damage to a window.

Officers were dispatched Saturday, July 6, to the 1500 block of Lurlyn Street in reference to possible trespassing and harassment. The victim stated they believed someone was tampering with their vehicles and property. At this time, it is unknown if the property was tampered with or not.

John Hamelburg, 51, Poplar Bluff was taken into custody Saturday, July 6, for shoplifting from Academy Sports. Hamelburg was a suspect of previous thefts, and was caught stealing shoes. Hamelburg also had two active warrants through Butler County and three through the city of Poplar Bluff. Hamelburg was processed and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched Saturday, July 6, to the 2200 block of Ruth Drive in reference to a verbal dispute. The reporting party advised a suspect pulled a screen from a window. At this time, no charges have been pursued.

Officers were dispatched Saturday, July 6, to the 800 block of Franklin Street in reference to an assault. The victim stated a neighbor pushed him down and threatened him. The victim did not want to pursue charges.

Officers were dispatched Saturday, July 6, to the 1500 block of Truman Street in reference to an assault. Contact was made with the victim who stated her ex-boyfriend threw her off her bike and stole it. The victim was transported to the Poplar Bluff Medical Center for evaluation. She wished to pursue charges. A probable cause affidavit was completed and sent to the prosecuting attorney.
