John Ginn

John C. Ginn, 72, of Puxico, Missouri, died Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Missouri State Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Mr. Ginn was born Jan. 1, 1952 in Wynne, Arkansas, son of the late Clayton Reese and Ann M. Ginn.

In his younger years, he loved to play baseball. John proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. In his early career days he was a truck driver and drove many miles cross-country. He later worked in sales until his health declined. John was a former member of First Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri, and was currently a member of First Baptist Church in Puxico.

On Feb. 13, 1999, he married Kathryn Norris Ginn. She survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Carrie Walters of Dexter; three stepchildren, Julie Wyatt of Bristol, Wisconsin, Russell Oliver and Matthew Oliver, both of Puxico; one grandchild: Ayden Walters; 10 step-grandchildren; and eight siblings, Thressia Sieben, Beth Limbaugh, Tracey West, Dixie Lacy, Clayton Ginn II, Skye Ginn, Kay Cunningham, and Dawn Ginn. John was also a special uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by two siblings, Joannie Ginn and Malcolm Ginn.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Justin Miller officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Puxico.
