Mark Twain National Forest Specialist Jennifer Morse will share recreational opportunities in the Ozarks during the quarterly Women Aware luncheon at noon Thursday, May 16.

Sponsored by Dairel Denton & Associates, it will be held at the Greater Poplar Bluff Area Chamber of Commerce.

Those wishing to attend the free event must pre-register by calling 573-718-9492 or emailing cwaitepbmo@gmail.com by Wednesday.

Morse manages dispersed recreation for the Poplar Bluff and Eleven Point ranger districts.

“I have worked for the forest service over a year but have been in federal service for about 13 years. I previously worked for the U.S. Corps of Engineers, Wappapello Lake.”

The mother of two graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation and parks administration in 2017 and Three Rivers College with an associate’s degree in both forestry and agriculture.

“I am local to the Poplar Bluff area and graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 2007,” Morse said. “I have been married to my husband Doug Morse for 12 years. I enjoy being outdoors, gardening and traveling with my family.”

Morse said her presentation will “highlight recreation opportunities in our area for all ages and abilities.”

She’ll share a short power point with pictures, descriptions, and unique information for each location.
