Nathan Holden
Nathan Rick Holden, 75 of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away April 10, 2024 at his residence.
He was born May 29, 1948 at Caraway, Arkansas to the late Nathan Herman Holden and Darlene Marie Jenkins.
On July 8, 1967 at Poplar Bluff he was married to Donna Hanner. She survives.
He is survived by his daughter, Hope Whitehead and husband, Kenny, of Paragould, Arkansas; grandson, Holden Tyler Bowens; as well as two brothers, Buddy Kearbey and wife, Terri, and Joey Kearbey and wife, Delilah, all of Poplar Bluff.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Phyllis Liveley and Tina Canady; and two brothers, Russell and Michael Holden.
Rick was a member of the Green Forest Church of Christ at Poplar Bluff and had served as minister in the Church of Christ at Naylor, Missouri. He had also served as song leader, and taught Sunday class. He had served in the United States Marines and Army, He also served in law enforcement as a resource officer.
He enjoyed collecting coins, writing poetry, making his own greeting cards, the outdoors, fishing, studying his Bible, motorcycles and restoration and woodworking.
Visitation will start at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024 with the funeral starting at noon, all in the Green Forest Church of Christ at Poplar Bluff. Burial will be in the Hosea Cemetery at Knobel, Arkansas with full military honors. Mitchell Rogers officiating.
