MAIN EVENT — Easter weekend is hopping

Find Easter events for everyone in this weekend’s MAIN EVENT.

WE ARE ONE: Community Worship is holding a Good Friday service in downtown Poplar Bluff. Everyone is welcome to join them at 7 p.m. at the Ed DeGaris Memorial Farmer’s Market across from the Black River Coliseum. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs. On Friday, Silverline Trailers hosts an egg hunt with prizes for kids and grown-ups, starting at 6 p.m.

Tired of bunnies? Sign your kids up to catch bugs at library’s the Get Kids Outdoors Insect Collection classes. The open-air classes will be held at 5:30 p.m. April 2, 16, 23 and 30 at the Poplar Bluff Municipal Library Main Branch.

— 4-H solar eclipse festival, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 8 WHERE Poplar Bluff High School. WHAT A family-oriented festival of science, fun and more. Live music will be provided by the band Chains of Mercury, and admission cost will be $5 per person, all proceeds support the local 4-H club.
