The Twin Rivers Qulin Middle School staff and students are celebrating their victory at the recent Missouri State Beta Convention in Branson.
Students placed in 18 competitions qualifying them for the June National Beta Club Convention in Savannah, Georgia
One staff member said, “We are a small school and had three of our students on the big stage speaking to thousands of other kids, schools, and sponsors. We had Ivy Benson, a National Advisor; Ella Vancil, outgoing Missouri Junior State Vice President; and Emeri Miller, the new Missouri State Junior Vice President. This is an amazing accomplishment for these students.”
The first place winners were students who did a campaign skit; Ivy Benson, speech; Laney Benson, Marcy McBroom, Jett Benson, Hudson Stanford, Zane Knuckles, marketing and communications; Marcy McBroom, pottery: Landry Benson, black and white photography; and the 2D Design club.
Second page winner were Stetson Porch, performing arts, and Mattie Musgraves, mixed media.
Placing third were Katie Kirkman, fiber arts; the Service Showcase club; and Hudson Stanford, sculpture.
Fourth place winners are April Maddock, jewelry; Callie Acup, ELA; Hannah Stephens, painting; and Hudson Stanford, spelling bee.
