Jay Bland, 36, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:32 a.m. Sunday, March 17, during a trespassing investigation in the 1600 block of Wallace Street. Bland was booked on a Laclede County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense (bond $300) and an Oregon County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense (bond $300). Bland was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Johnnie Hamelburg, 50, of St. Louis was issued a summons at 10:55 a.m. Sunday, March 17, for shoplifting at Menard’s during a shoplifting investigation. Hamelburg was also issued an additional summons for a shoplifting incident that occurred on March 8 at the business.

Bobby and Amy Burns reported at 3:27 p.m. Sunday, March 17, a stealing incident that occurred at JD’s Quickstop. They attempted to purchase a cellphone from an individual. Their money was taken by the suspect and they were thrown a phone box that only had trash inside and did not contain a phone.
