Thomas South

Thomas “Dink” South, 52, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 at his residence in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. South was born July 4, 1971 in Sikeston, Missouri, son of the late William and Juanita South. He had worked as a surveyor for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching his kids play sports and playing pool.

On May 11, 2001, he married Kim Law she survives. Also surviving are three children, Katelyn and Jordan Lansford, Logan South, Brianna South, all of Poplar Bluff; three sisters: Linda and John Chitwood of Ellington, Missouri, Janet South, Mary and Jim Meisel of Jefferson City, Missouri, and one brother, Jamie and Donna South of Dexter, Missouri. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Randy South and one sister, Judy Aslin.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024 at White-Sanders Funeral Home, Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Ash Hill Cemetery at Fisk.
