The contract of Twin Rivers Superintendent Rob Brown has been extended through 2026, according to the district.
Board members unanimously voted on the contract during their Jan. 18 monthly meeting. No raise was discussed, according to board minutes.
Brown came to Twin Rivers in 2022 with 22 years of education experience, including four years as Twin Rivers head basketball coach.
The board hired Brown after Superintendent Ben Johnson resigned effective after the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
Brown previously served six years as high school principal at Aurora High School in Aurora and previously said he saw this as a new challenge.
“There’s a lot of good people, a lot of great things going on in that district and those communities, so I saw the opportunity,” he said at the time.
In other action Jan. 18, the board approved adding the online registration module and the electronic payment module to the yearly Infinite Campus subscription.
Infinite Campus is the school management program that manages the students attendance, grades and other things. It is replacing Tyler Technologies SISK12, which has merged with Infinite Campus, according to the district.
The board approved sick leave transfers for Janae Hamilton — 40 days from Josh Hancock; Gary Hancock — 4 days from Yonna Hillis; and Jenna Williams Benton — 5 days from Karen Guess
Resignations were accepted from Rebecca Collier and Suzanne Hart, both high school business teachers, and Megan Leach, an aide at Fisk.
The next board meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22.
