Officers responded at 7:37 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2000 block of Thomas Street. No injury was reported and neither party wanted to press charges.

Misty Pickard, 41, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:14 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Pickard was booked in on a charge of stealing and she was released pending review by the Butler County prosecutor.

Macie Wiley reported at 9:11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, an adult female acquaintance harassed her in the 100 block of North Main Street in violation of a protection order. Efforts to contact the suspect failed, and the matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

An employee at Poplar Bluff High School reported at 9:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, a THC vaping device was seized from a juvenile student after they were seen using it inside the school. The device was seized and destroyed and the matter was referred to the juvenile office.

Terrance Stoverink reported at 9:59 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, his vehicle was damaged on Highway 142 when a van traveling southbound crossed the centerline and struck his driver side mirror.

Charles Gossett, 32, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, during the investigation of a theft complaint at J.C. Penney at 515 S. Westwood Blvd. Gossett was booked in on a charge of stealing and he was released on criminal summons.

Shappell Smith reported at 3:02 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, someone broke into her residence in the 700 block of Lester Street and stole a cell phone and beauty supplies.

Phillip Wallace reported at 4:05 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, the license plates were stolen from his car while it was parked at Bluff Custom Muffler at 1530 N. Main St.
