A 53-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 5:37 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, on Highway 53, a quarter-mile south of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Gary L. King, 53, of Campbell was operating a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis southbound when it rear-ended a southbound 2009 Pontiac G6 stopped in traffic and operated by Hillary R. Deaton, 44, of Poplar Bluff.
King was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Aaron T. Hodges, 33, of Dexter was arrested at 7:53 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, in Stoddard County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while revoked, no insurance and no seat belt. He was booked at the Stoddard County jail on a 24-hour hold.

An employee at Poplar Bluff High School reported Thursday, Dec. 14, a juvenile student was assaulted by another juvenile student in the cafeteria on Dec. 11.

An employee at Super 8 Hotel at 2852 N. Westwood Blvd. reported at 9:57 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, patrons entered several vacant rooms unlawfully and stole a television and household items.

Miguel Cooper, 33, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the police department at 3:04 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on property damage and stealing. He was held at the Butler County jail.

Steven Kimbrel, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, during a traffic stop in the 700 block of Highway 53. Kimbrel was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and a Stone County warrant for failure to appear on stealing leased or rented property. He was held at the Butler County jail.

Dorothy Bilbrey, 37, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:36 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, during a traffic stop on the parking lot at Jay’s Corner Store at 1040 South Broadway. Bilbrey was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on a traffic offense and an animal control offense and she was released on bond.

Joshua Fontan, 21, of Poplar Bluff and Aaliayah Johnson, 21, of Poplar Bluff were arrested at 2:07 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at their residence in the 600 block of North Main Street. Johnson was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses. She was unable to post bond, but was released on her own recognizance. Fontan was booked on a charge of interfering with an arrest and held at the Butler County jail.

Michael Hillis, 51, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5:02 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at a residence in the 800 block of Delano Street. Hillis was booked on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on domestic assault and a Butler County warrant for burglary. He was held at the Butler County jail.
